Im stuck..need help

Hi I have a urgent question, I did my nursing in India which was a 3 year program and I completed it in 2 years which included summers. I am afraid that the board of nursing in california might not like this, would they have a problem with this. I am just very worried right now, and was wondering with the SSN can they tell what universities/colleges I went to or just for identity. Thanks for all of the help, I truly apreciate it..God Bless.

(see the supplemental application instructions for international graduates section of the application.)either way, the board will need to see a copy of the transcript from your nursing school. if you just completed 3 years of school in two years, it's not likely that they'll have a problem with it, but no one can say that for sure... only the ca bon can.

As an immigrant myself, one cannot really do anything in the US without an SSN, let alone work - a situation common to many countries. As chloecatrn states, you need to apply to the Ca BON... submit all the transcripts and paperwork and they will decide as to whether the universities you attended have furnished you with qualifications adequate enough to sit the RN NCLEX.

But I did ask them if they needed all transcripts, and they said they didn't. But I was just curious if they can view them on their own without my permission. Thanx for the help!

In my experience, you contact the universities you attended and they send your transcripts straight to the BON (a small fee may be applied). I actually submitted all of my transcripts because I felt, even if not directly related to nursing, they showed an academic prowess; i.e., an interest in life long learning and knowledge in diverse fields.

i don't see why thheor would be a problem if you follow the rules to attain proper credentials. The Hospital I work at has many fine Doctors who went to medical school outside of the US and came here for their residency and credentialing.
