LVN Nursing Programs

Recently, I've started a job working at a hospital however; a non-nursing job and have been thinking of enrolling into a LVN Nursing Program. Would entering a LVN program be a good starting point in the Nursing profession?
I thought it was an excellent starting point mostly because the program was so short and cheap. I was also able to work as a nurse while I continued with my education. Check around your area because in some places there are limited options for LPNs most of them usually being in Long Term Care, nursing homes.

No community colleges offering the program? What about ADN programs at community college? You will need to price the different programs, the amount of time and prospective income to determine which route is the best for you. Good luck.
