Whats Tele?Rating: (votes: 2) Quote from butterfly134I'm studying for my BSN in ireland.....never heard of tele before. Oh and is EKG the same as what we call ECG? electrocardiogram? Sorry, I know these may sound like stupid questions!! Comment:
EKG is the German spelling (kardiogram). The physician who invented it was German, and it just kind of stuck.
Comment:
Tele= telemetry, when you hook up a cardiac monitor to a patient and can monitor their cardiac activity from the nurse's station.

Quote from MickeyTongSheeeesh....some people just want to cause trouble.......A Tele is a dual pick-up electric guitar made by Fender. Favoured by Country musicians, but it does have a wider appeal. Here's a master of the Telecaster......

It's also tele-medicine. Used in "remote and rural" areas where access to specialist expertise is difficult. Like video-conferencing.
