Variable hours??

I'm looking at this job application right now and it states that the hours are: 12 hour shifts from 7am-7pm w variable hours possible as needed, must be willing to work 2 weekends ot of the 4.

What does the variable hour part mean?
Variable may mean that you may have to rotate to another shift; at least that is what was meant when I went for my current position .You can try to contact the HR rep for more clarification as well; I would just in case it meant something else.

Yeah, I would assume it means they may need you 7-3, 3-3, etc. I'd ask for clarification if you get an interview.
