I did it too. And yes, the second part was quite confusing.Wish it hadn't pertained to JUST my last shift worked. My last shift didn't happen to be a "typical" shift for me, so my answers would have been quite different on most other days.

Done. If it had pertained to my last 6 months of work, my answers would have been dramatically different. My last shift was a Sunday and was much "slower" than a typical M-F shift.

I also just completed this and I would say that Part 2 made no sense. This just illustrates the gap between academia and the real world (then again, this is UM, so go figure...)

Thank you all for taking the survey. The second part that some of you find confusing is the NASA Task Load index. It's a validated tool that they use in aeronautics. I thought I'd try and see how it works for nursing. The purpose is to help analyze staffing. They use it for air traffic controllers as well as flight crews etc. Each survey gets a score. The idea is not to have too high of a score. I am planning to compare the scores to things like how many discharges you had, how many admissions, how many patients you take care of as well as things like the effect of experience and level of education.
