Advice on new ER job

I just got a job as a Unit Assistant in the ER and this will be my first healthcare job. I have had many clinicals so I have experience with some skills and working in a hospital, but I am still a little nervous for everything the ER has to offer. I am excited to get good experience and skills down, but is there any advice out there from ER nurses to new assistants on the floor? Thanks...

It will take time, but when you can anticipate needs based on certain health complaints/conditions, you will be even more valuable. I love techs that know what typically gets ordered for Chest Pain, Seizures etc and can jump ahead and get things moving. Congratulations. I hope you love your new job.
