Charting vital signs

Hey I am young nurse,

I need help. Which pen colours to use if I want plot down my findings of vital signs in patient�s personal chart.
Please, I need that information as soon as possible.
Moved to General Nursing Discussion area.Facilities differ, however in recent years most have designated black ink to be the color of choice for all shifts, as it shows better if copied/xeroxed.Some facilities may still require black for a.m. shift, green for p.m. shift, red for noc shift (old terms, I realize ).Best to check with your own facility for its preferences.
