ethical issue

hello!

Need to write a paper on an ethical dilema/issue, I am new grad doing the bsn online and not currently working as a nurse. can't think of something to write about!!! any suggestions? ideas? would be much appreciated.
Suggestions:end of life care does morphine administration for pt comfort speed up pt deathDNR per pt, but one or more family members oppose...if I think of more I'll let ya know! GOOD LUCK!!!

Try to think of an ethical dilemma you came across in a clinical experience.... it might seem small, but examining an experience you acually lived will make your paper stronger, and will give you a chance for introspection

something we talked about in class recently that my instructor has run into:children who are HIV+ and their parents choose not to tell them. they get to a certain age when they start asking about all the medications they take. if the parents aren't truthful, the child will start asking the nurse. what do you tell the child? what if the parents insist on "waiting a while" but the child has confided in you that she has participated in behaviors that are precursors to sexual activity?

How about cancer patients whose families don't want them to know they have cancer?
