That fantastically horrible night....Rating: (votes: 0) your fantastic teammates jump in, and help get the tons of stat orders started the intensivist stays at bedside, and everything gets done. The best part: the patient is getting better, we went from thinking "she's going to code...she's not gonna make it and her baby is not gonna have a momma" to "thank you god, praise everything great on this earth" Sorry, I just had to share, I'm absolutely elated for this unexpected good outcome. ![]() She was a routine labor, turned emergent C-section than went septic on top of DIC. Great job everyone!!! Comment:
That's the kind of things that make you glad we do this for a living.

Go Team ICU!! Love those days when everything gets crazy and the only reason all your patients are alive at the end of the day is because everyone pulled together. What a great "save" you had...a baby gets to have a mom, there is nothing better!

Go, team!

My heart also sinks when I have to get report from L&D!The people you work with can definately make or break the job.Your team has all the reason to celebrate! The patient and her family are lucky to have had you. Thanks for the "warm-fuzzy" story on this dreary and rainy afternoon!!

Thank you for sharing this. We all need to vent, but the good stuff like this doesn't hurt at all.
