Do you run iv Tylenol with anything other than normal saline?
My resource states NS and D5W and that the other solutions have not been tested.

Comment:
Sorry, my resource is Micromedex. We have online access at work

The only incompatibilities listed on Medscape are diazepam and chlorpromazine.

Has KCl been tested with it?

Comment:
I didn't even know that existed. Is it new? I bet its pricy too

Ha Ha, I looked at this thread on the main General nursing tab before I clicked it open. I read: What can you run iv tylenol with? and then saw Creamsoda. Yup that is correct. You can run iv tylenol with Creamsoda!

I work on a peds hem/onc floor and we get little ones that won't or can't take PO tylenol so we give the IV form sometimes. We do not give anything rectal to onc pts so it is a great option sometimes.

We don't run it with anything other than NS. We also use Micromedex. They need to hurry up and test it with other stuff because it's a great option for onc patients that can't keep down PO meds. I've had to waste a couple of doses because of incompatibility issues (as in pt would spike a temp while another med was running, then be afebrile once the line was available) - pharmacy loved me for that
