NP Student introducing themself as a NP to the patients

We currently have a NP Student on the floor. She goes into the patients room and says "I'm a Nurse Practitioner working with Dr._____ this week. I also heard her answer the phone ________Nurse Practitioner. I asked this person, so when do you graduate? She replied I graduate as an NP in August. Am I wrong to let this disturb me? Isn't this a really wrong thing to do? I feel like I should report her to her school. Yes? No?
I wouldn't be comfortable with it either. Though perhaps have a quiet word with her about it first before you report it to her school? That may solve the problem.

I have an NP student on my floor and he always introduces himself as an NP student. I agree with Meriwhen that you should have a word to her in private about it because it is misleading and can have some consequences if they wrong people get wind of it. Even if this person is graduating in August, they haven't graduated yet. They also need to take and pass their boards to earn the title NP. Would you let a student nurse go around introducing themselves as a nurse?

I think she needs a private talk. By you, or her instructor, or your floor manager.

Why is people's first instinct to run and tell the school? Be an adult and speak to the woman if you have concerns.
