What about MedScape (Medscape: Medscape Access) or Medline (MEDLINE/PubMed Resources Guide)national Institutes of Health (National Institutes of Health (NIH))Clinical Trials.gov has a results database: ClinicalTrials.gov Results - ClinicalTrials.govPubMed: Home - PubMed - NCBImedline Plus (more of an advanced consumer level & also free): Home - PubMed - NCBII believe for Medline and/or Medscape you need to register but it is free.

if you have a particular field that you specialize in or enjoy then there are usually medical journals that will keep you up to date in that field. or nurses have aorn and ic nurses have the cdc and apic. there are so many out there if you just google the topic of interest and then assess them for true quality.

A lot of the services are not free but as long as I am getting quick and easy results, I am happy to pay for the service. I have heard really great things about Medline. MedInfoNow uses Medline journal articles and citations to provide a free service called Lit Search which is available right on the homepage of the site.

I wrote a similar question on this site last year http://allnurses.com/general-nursing...do-560421.html and saw simililar responses. One person wrote that STTI offers Medinfonow to their members, so they must think it's the best. I just tried Medscape for five months and agree that there's too much info when I only want info related to my field. PubMed is good, but the search function is too broad. Medinfonow costs anywhere from $40/year to $89, and they have a free trial. It's worth it to me to get the info sent to me via email, and to have the ability to go into the site to search for more specific info.
