California BON and Excelsior College

Hi all. I am a graduate of Excelsior College and completed the program thinking that I could reciprocity in after gaining a license in another state. I have now been told that California won't even consider ANYONE from Excelsior for reciprocity...not even very experienced nurses. They (California) were accepting Excelsior grads for reciprocity when I started the program and, though it was a risk, I was willing to take it. I could not attend a traditional program and had no other choices with regard to schools. I am stuck looking for work at the VA or Federal facilities, which is not easy due to budget cuts. So frustrating!! Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
I think there is another state that doesn't accept it either, but for the life of me I can't remember which. I think we will see more of this sadly. I started the program, but decided it wasn't worth investing even more money into once I learned states were accepting it anymore. Good luck to you.
