how to expalain termination?

So I was terminated from my job. If I am applying for a new position, and get an interview, how do I explain about my termination?? Do I expalin in detail why I was terminated or just tell interviewer I was terminated?
Well, you certainly can't just say "I was terminated". The interviewer will ask you why (and it will likely be on your application form, as well). Keep the answer honest, clear and concise. Don't "explain in detail" if it means you're going to hang yourself. Straightforward, without embellishment.Since it might be relevant, for what offense were you fired?
