new to thread

Hello everyone. Im a soon to be graduate on August 2nd with amy ADN. I am looking to continue to either CRNA or CRNP. I am 34 and have a family. What would you do?
Both are equally time consuming. It depends on you how well you can handle both family and studies.

first of all, let me be one of the first to congratulate you on pursuing your goal, and for your desire to further your education. needless to say, your desire to become a crna or crnp is not impossible, although it won't be easy at times specially since you have a family to look after, there will be times that you'll questioned is it worth it? having said that, for that reason alone you'll find the strength to make the dream a reality just don't stop believing in yourself. wishing you the very best in all of your future endeavors...aloha~

I wouldn't do either. I went for education because that is what I like to do.So, you'll likely need the BSN bridge first, and some clinical experience. That should let you know what you want to do more; independent or with a group,, NP: with a specialty such as family health, emergency, OB-GYN etc. If you go the OR route, see if you like working with the surgeons and a tightly controlled environment, as a team member.Congrats on the first step!
