I had an interview at a clinic for an RN position last week wed 4/25. I thought all went well and asked when they would know what their decision was they stated they would today Monday 4/30. No call here...Feeling pretty down....I felt very good about the interview and when I left I could hear them saying they really liked me...What should I do now? Should I call tomorrow morning? UGH!! So depressed!! I really want a job!!! Thanks for reading, I would really appreciate any suggestions.
YES!! Call them first thing in the morning. Tell them you appreciate the opportunity for the interview and that you want the job. You have to really sell yourself to get a job these days!! It sure couldn't hurt!

Call! Tell them you really want the job! If you didn't get the job then ask them what swayed their decision, get as much feedback from them as you can!Good luck!

Call them to follow-up.

You guys are right I should call in the morning..what is it going to hurt?

I hope that you called or sent some sort of a note, thanking them and telling them how interested you are. So many times interviewers say they will call and then something comes up and they don't. It's very frustrating, but luckily usually has nothing to do with YOU! Hope you get it!

Yes, I did send a note and thanked them for the opportunity. Thank-you sauconyrunner!! You gave me some sort of hope!!!

I guess I am just sad because I have been unemployed since October of last year and this has been my first interview after I re-did my resume!! I was really hopeful. So we shall see. I will up-date tomorrow after I call. About what time should I call and what should I say??

Don't call the minute they open- give them some time to settle in. I'd say mid-late morning, before people start going on their lunch breaks.Say, "Hi this is LindseyRN86, I interviewed for the RN position with [whomever] last week and I am just calling to follow-up on the position."

I don't think you can possibly expect a response in 5 days.Even if that is was discussed in the interview. In that 5 day interim, a thank you note is the only acceptable contact. You cannot expect them to make the hiring decision that soon.Good luck, keep us posted.
