Change Careers?

I am a RN that has been working several years with the public under a grant doing home visits, classses, etc for low income and high risk clients. I work 5 days a week, M-F, holidays off. I am considering going back to the hospital and working 3 12 hour shifts. If I do so, I will have to work 2 weekends a month and some holidays. I have a child about to be in middle school...what should I do?
