Advice for Canadian RN's moving to the USA

I am a Canadian BSN student set to graduate within the next year and a half. My plans are to move,permanently reside, and work within the United States (specifically in Texas). I am wondering if there have been other Canadian nurses who have gone in this direction and if they have any advice on the best possible way to achieve this. I have done a small amount of research, and I have only discovered "Travel Nursing" companies, and most seem to be for temporary residence and employment. I would appreciate any advice anyone has regarding Canadian nurses moving and working in the US.
