Missed Call from Recruiter Didn't Leave A MessageRating: (votes: 0) I would just call asap and say you saw the number on caller ID. Comment:
Doesn't make a difference why she didn't leave a message - just call yourself..ask for HR, tell them you missed a call from a nurse recruiter..if she doesn't answer leave her a message and simply state who you are and you are returning her call - not necessary to get into why she didn't leave a message or you googled the number or whatever - just keep it short and sweet.

Who knows why a voice mail wasn't left?Perhaps the recruiter is from my generation and is irritated by this so called form of communication.Call back STAT! You are not being pushy.. you are expressing your interest in the position and "closing the loop".Good luck, keep us posted!

Thanks for the advice and well-wishes! I did call her back the next day; she didn't answer and I left a short but detailed message, giving her my name / reason for calling / phone number and said I hoped to hear back. Unfortunately I haven't heard from her. It sucks to think I could have potentially missed out on an interview if not a job simply because I was unable to answer my phone. I've now started carrying it with me everywhere and sneaking it onto shelves at work for easy access. Risking getting fired but I can't take the chance of missing another call about a job!

When I was not available, I had a recruiter call and leave a message on my telephone. When I attempted to return the call later that day, of course they were not available. I left my name and number, and never heard back from them again. It must be a lottery of some sort, reaching "x" amount of potential candidates/screeners, and call it a day. I hope the recruiter does get back with you, rinskins.

I would continue calling until you speak with her. Recruiters can be very busy. It is not considered being pushy; you want a job. I've had difficult times getting in touch with recruiters before and I just kept calling.

Have you thought about activating a Google Voice number? This would allow you to have calls ring to your work as well.
