Back to Patient Care (I hope)!

After nursing school, I decided to try my hand in case management rather than direct patient care. Although I have enjoyed it, I was surprised to find myself missing bedside nursing. At this point, I am now almost a full year out of nursing school with no direct experience.

Already difficult is the task of landing a first RN job out of school; now I am faced with the, "one-year out," challenge as well. I see murky waters ahead with regards to a potential job search; the prospects certainly stand against me.

Has anyone climbed that mountain before or know anyone who has? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for me as I begin this path?
