crna's in surgery

I was wondering if crna's ever scrub in for surgery? Can they wear sleeves under their scrubs?
The training for a CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist) is to provide anesthesia care. First assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians assistants, and sometimes surgical technologists receive the training to function in a first assistant role. I have never seen a CRNA scrub in as that is not the role they are educated for.As for sleeves, they are an absolute no-go for anyone scrubbed in as the accepted practice of scrubbing involves a scrub all the way up to 2" above the elbows. According to AORN standards, any clothing not laundered by the facility should be completely covered. Therefore, everyone in the OR should not have on long sleeves with the exception of warm-up jackets provided by and laundered by the facility.
