Getting back in the gameRating: (votes: 9) I think I'm going to be pretty limited by the fact that I will only work weekdays, day shift. I have a BSN, 3 specialty certifications and 10 years of work experience in healthcare (7 as an RN). I'm open to starting my own consulting business as well, but I honestly have no business experience. prn home health comes to mind, Comment:
Give a call to your old coworkers/managers. Only thing that comes to mind.
Comment:
Contact a staffing agency. Most casual positions preferentially go to FT staff who are looking to back off a little.
Comment:
Apply for a PRN position in the staffing pool and sign up to work weekday days. Start with your old employer and people who know you.I really dialed back my hours when my kids were born. I learned that it helped to get physically fit before going back. I learned to really work out a detailed plan with my husband about who would do what in household and childcare matters. I learned to have backup childcare just in case.
