Feeling StuckRating: (votes: 0) Will the nursing home take you back per diem? Perhaps a weekend a month or every other weekend when your husband is home? If you have 8 months of experience, but have only been out of work 8 months, then I am sure that it will be much like riding a bike--it will all come back to you.I would start where you left off. As the kids get older and into school, then perhaps it will be different. But for right now, I would attempt to go back to the nursing home, but on a per diem basis. Comment:
As the above poster recommended, how about a per diem job in LTC. It is an area you have some experience, and being out less than a year is not that much. When my kids were born, once a week per diem on the weekends kept some money flowing in(good weekend differentials), we never needed to hire any childcare since my husband works weekdays only, and I could make up my schedule in a way to fit the needs of the family.Apply for jobs anyway. What have you got to lose by trying?
