Medical SpanishRating: (votes: 0) Look online - there are tons of medical Spanish courses available online. If you live in a large city, you will probably be able to find some local places that offer classes in person. Also check Craigslist - there are always native speakers who have businesses tutoring people.Or, if you can afford to take 2 weeks off work, you can do a Spanish Immersion program in central America. There are courses specifically for people in healthcare. When I first started in healthcare, I hadn't used my high school Spanish in 15 years. After 9 years using it at the bedside, I've gotten fairly proficient and can have a basic conversation or take a history. So I would say the best way to get better at it is to force yourself to use it with your patients as much as you can - even just to ask them if they need more water or some pastillas para dolor.
