asn program and working full time

Is this possible? I already have a previous bachelor's degree so if I go to my local community college, all of my credits would transfer and I would just have to take only the nursing courses which come out to be like 1-2 each semester. Is it possible to do that and work fulltime?

Yes, it is possible. Many people before you accomplished the juggling act of full-time employment as a full-time student. Personally, I worked 32 hours every week as an LVN at a nursing home while attending an ASN program full-time. I worked two 16-hour double shifts back to back every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 10:00pm. The ultimate flexibility of the weekend double work schedule allowed me to have five days off in a row every week (Monday through Friday) off to completely focus on my schooling.

Yes, it's possible but much depends on your work schedule and clinical schedule. If you haven't already, talk to the nurse faculty and see what the schedules are like. I know my ASN program was the hardest thing I've ever done due to the amount of information you have to retain and understand. I did not work but many of my friends in the program did, we were all in it together and supported each other. It comes down to dedication and time management.......if you want it, you will succeed.
