How to write an IDP (Individual Developmental Plan)

Every year I have to write an IDP and it's so confusing! I can't figure out what to put in the area under Developmental Objectives. I was informed last year that by stating daily duties; patient assessments, administering medications, etc. does not apply. Please Help!
Is this for an annual eval? They're probably looking for something along the lines of how you intend to continue professional development as a nurse. Perhaps something like joining a committee/counsel for your dept, additional certifications/education, etc.
