On-Call or Standby Utilization

Hi - my question is related to on-call / standby practices.

How often does your charge nurse schedule you to be on-call but (almost) never call you back?
When I was a manager I was taking on-call for a week every 9 weeks, depended on the rotation of the other managers in the facility. When I did cardiac testing we were on call every other weekend. I think it depends on your facility and perhaps your specialty area.
