Keep applying. It took me 34 applications before I got my first nursing job

Well I don't think you will feel better by my saying this but maybe so here goes: you aren't alone. CNN wrote an article about how like 40+% of new grad RN don't land their first job by the time they have had their license for a year.My advice is keep applying, volunteer, see if you can work as a tech or CNA and use that to move up (a lot of hospitals do it and do not advertise it). Find and apply to new grad programs. Most of all hang in there, it will come.

The only advice and support I have is to keep applying...it took me about 100 applications before I landed a job.Cast your net wide and look burying the hospital setting-nursing homes, clinics, any nursing position.

Remember that we just had a holiday. Most HR departments came to a screeching halt during that time, so factor that into your timeline.Keep applying until you have an offer. I have a few PRN jobs, but I've been trying to get into a hospital for months. I've submitted over 1500 applications (I finally stopped keeping track) since March.

Don't be afraid to call back the place that said you had a great interview. It took my workplace more than 3 weeks to get back to me after my second interview. We are fortunate around here and most if not all new grads get hired. I had two job invites before the NCLEX. I think that everyone needs to be open to the idea of moving. Some areas are just better than others.
