Channel checks QC

For any of you SPD pros out there, is there a national standard on channel check quality control? My chief medical officer wants to know more about how we certify quality in SPD, and we told him we QC a certain number of cannulated instruments. He wants to know if you have a certain percentage of positives, is there some national standard that says you have to do further investigation?
