can anyone tell me if they earn their certificate for LPN in a non-accreditted program, and if they procude their nursing as an RN. my plan is to take the stepping stone as an LPN first then continue to the RN, but i know that most schools dont transfer the classes and my prerequits. are not so great, their c+ in science classes, thats my problem to begin with in college taking my on for the rn program. any advise, thank you.
First, you need to check with your state board of nursing to determine if they will allow you to sit for the LPN board exam in the program is not accredited. In my state, this is not allowed. The program must be accredited. You need to check with the RN programs that you would be applying to if they would accept the credits from the non-accredited LPN program. My initial thought is that they probably would not. If you want to pursue this route, why not find an LPN program that is accredited?
