Regional Demand/Job Opportunities

1 So I was just wondering if anyone here knew a good place to look to find out how much demand there is in a particular area? I was told by someone that the nursing shortage is not as severe in some places as in others; I would like to check what places don't have as high of a demand. I'm interested in moving out of OH once I finish nursing school and move to a different place (maybe New England or Chicago :wink2 ; before I do I'd like to see how easy it would be to find a job in those areas.

I know there might not be an easy way other than just poking around hospital websites and seeing how many jobs they have posted. I just figured it never hurts to ask:wink2:
You could check out the local forums and see if local nurses are able to help you more. As you said, checking out hospital listings can be helpful. You could also try applying for jobs in those areas and see what happens before you make the move.
