co worker with attendance issues

my co-worker told me she has applied for a new job. from working with her, i know she has a big attendance issues. she frequently calls in, sometimes up to a week at a time. i have this urge to call this place and tell them about her issues. is it wrong to do this?
Supress the urge...when the organization asks for references, they will find out about the absences.
When she calls in, does she leave you short-handed? And if so, why would you tell that other employer when you could be rid of an unreliable co-worker?Man I sound selfish here...
