career – When to make a follow up call
I had what seemed to be a good interview with a medical insurance company last Friday for a case management position. The interviewer was a consultant (nurse) for the firm. I sent out a follow up thank you letter on Saturday addressed to her. I probably should have sent it to HR vs her because at the interview she said that HR would call me. I called today (wednesday) and asked for the interviewer by name. The receptionist said "she's not here." I then asked when she will be back and the reply I got was "dont know, she's only a consultant". So I didn't leave my name or a msg.
My question is: today being wednesday, 3 business days later, should I call HR to follow up or send another thank you follow up letter to HR ASAP, then call later? If so, when should I call?
