I need some help

Hi,
everybody,I am an Indian nurse and I applied here for NCLEX-RN exam through New York board of nursing.My exam will be on April and I am preparing for TOEFL.Now,I live in NJ and I don't have work permit.I came here with my husband.
So,I would like to know that how I will get my work permit in NY or NJ?? What
If anyone can help me out then it will be grateful.
