In search of the perfect specialty

New grad in search of a position that allows time with patients and the learning process. Med/Surg has too many patients to one nurse and its far too stressful. Any advice?
You will need to look outside of the acute care environment if you want to focus on patient education. There just is not enough time to address anything but priority needs in an inpatient setting - financial pressures are too great. Reimbursement for services has been in a steady decline for a long time and it's just getting worse.
