working under your LVN license if you will be an RN in the next two months(hopefully)Rating: (votes: 0) ![]() Thank you, Mamajo, LVN I graduated last May with my LPN and continued straight through for my RN. The whole time finishing up I worked at a local hospital as an LPN, even after I graduated and was awaiting taking my RN boards, I was still working under my LPN license...as an LPN. Tomorrow will actually be my very first day working under my shiney new RN license. I am in Tennessee if that matters but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to work as an LPN or even a GN, Good Luck Comment: If that particular employer does not want to hire you in those circumstances it is their prerogative, but it does not mean you can not work for anyone as an LVN. If you need the income, then go ahead and get an LVN job. But unless you are content with remaining with LVN responsibilities and LVN pay, you should inform the employer about the future RN status. Or you might just wait until it happens, so that you can work in the meantime. The car goes in both directions. Good luck.Comment: thank you, caliotter3 I need it!
