Needs Home Health to Acute Care Advice!

I am currently living in Hawaii and moving to San Diego, California in June because my fiance is in the military. I have been working in Homecare since the hospitals haven't been hiring new graduates. I've been doing Homecare for a year now as an RN and I've always wanted to do med/surg or in the OR. Ive been applying but I've had no luck. Should I apply to a new graduate program to get in the hospital setting or just continue applying for regular jobs? Responses are greatly appreciated!
Apply to/for anything that you can to get a job! I've heard/read conflicting information on how tight jobs are in Southern California, but if it's anything like Northern, any job you can get is one to take (except home health care/private duty in an unsafe area).
