RNs and LPNsRating: (votes: 0) ![]() Depends on where you live. In general, it would take a lot of doing to completely do away with LPNs. I would check the BON's LPN scope where you live and also do a job search and see what you come up with. In most states, it's a tough market these days; in my state it's especially hard for LPNs d/t an oversaturation of LPN programs, plus the economy, plus there was no real shortage here to begin with. I regret that I did not go straight through to get my RN when I had the finances to do so. I'm stuck at LPN and all the RN prereqs, plus waiting lists, etc. are just not appealing. If you have the means, I highly recommend going the RN route. |
