BSN or BGS?

Alright you guys, I need some advice. I have my ADN and have been a nurse for 9 years, currently in a supervisory role. I have been procrastinating getting my BSN all of this time for various reasons. Now I want to finish up and go on, however, my question is, would a Bachelors in General Studies work when employers say a BSN is required? With my supervisory experience, hopefully that would open that door. I am not sure I always want to be a nurse, although getting out is hard since the pay is decent. Does anyone have experience with other types of bachelor degrees and getting into jobs that say BSN required?
A BSN means just that. I have a BS in a non-nursing field and an ADN. So, basically as far as nursing I have an ADN and my BS means zip to my employer. A BA/BS in another field + ADN = ADN to most folks. Not the answer I wanted either.
