Money spent on the job search

What are some things you spent money on because you thought they might help you in the job search? (not counting the degree itself.) Things like certifications, membership in professional organizations, any services like resume building etc., clothes for interviewing, etc etc etc. Was it worth it?

So far I've spend hundreds of dollars and it hasn't helped yet. And now I'm going to grad school and will be spending thousands more... will this ever end?

ACLS -- $100 (classmate got us a good deal)
PALS -- $185
IV therapy -- $200
various professional memberships -- $300
