Called back within 6 months??

You know when you apply for jobs and you get that email/message saying we will keep your file for 6 months if anything should come up? I'm wondering if that has ever happened to anyone out there?? Not excepted for a job but... Boom! One day... 3 to 4 or maybe even 5 months in you get a call from HR requesting your services or even an interview. Anyone? Anybody? Thanks for reading and responding!
I got called for an interview 2 months after I applied. I week later I was offered the position.
Yes, it has happened to me with 2 facilities.Both called about 2-3 months later and asked if I was still interested.
