ASN to BSN before attaining RN?Rating: (votes: 0) TIA for any help. God bless. Anyone? Comment: I believe you must have your license first. We you go to get your BSN they need your license number. Perhaps contact the school and see if you need any other classes( art, humanities)? BSN requires other non nursing classes as well. Maybe you could take those in the mean time~Comment: At my school, you had to have your RN before. You will be able to graduate in Dec and pass boards in January (I did this)Comment: I know of a program that allows dual enrollment -- so that you are taking courses towards your BSN online while you get your ADN where you live. However, those require that you plan ahead for doing that -- have all your pre-reqs done for both programs before you register, etc.At this late date, you may be stuck -- having to take your boards and pass before you can get accepted into a BSN program. Your best bet might be to start taking any Bachelor's level pre-req's or general education courses as a "special student" in the semester starting in January -- which might not require that you be accepted into the actual BSN program. You would get those courses out of the way in the spring and then officially enter the BSN program. Some schools allow you take a few classes as a "special student" without being enrolled in a special major leading to a degree. Look for such an opportunity at a school whose BSN program interests you.Comment: Thank you all so much for the responses. God bless.
