Visiting Unit managers/HR depts advice

Hi,
I will be graduating with a BSN in December and am looking to relocate from California to the Las Vegas area as my fiance is stationed there and we have done a long distance relationship for three years. I have been calling the Nurse Recruiters and HR departments at all 13 hospitals there and left messages, but have received no calls back. Should I just go visit the Unit Managers and HR departments instead of calling? If so what times of the day are best? I currently work as a Nurses Aide and know that my manager is busy all day long...so I worry about visiting and having no one be in their office. Also should I bring anything special? Help! Thank you
