What would help me more in the long run ER or Med Surg/Nephology extern experience?

Hi guys, I'd love to hear from experienced nurses that are willing to give me some advice. I am currently a nursing student, my expected graduation date is Dec'2012. I've been offered two positions as a Patient Care Extern, one in the ER and the other one in a busy medsurg/nephrology floor. I would love to do ER, but the million dollar question is...What kind of experience would benefit my carrer the most? Where would you have gone as a student nurse?
