Zero experience Phlebotomist

Hi guys,
I need your advice! So I've taken a phlebotomy program back in May 2014 and received my license Cpt 1. After that I've been attending community college (Fall 2014) to continue my education taking general ed classes and prereqs., but right now (Feb 2015) I'm just working part time at a retail store. I'm having trouble getting hired, since I have 0 experience. Also, it's been 8 months that I haven't practice phlebotomy, which gives me a lack of confidence. Does anyone know where I can volunteer or intern as a phlebotomist around/near LA, Ca or if that's even possible? What should I do? I don't want it to all go to waste.
