CALL BELLS

1 Just curious, does anybody else wake up to the sounds of phantom call bells in the night on your day off. Or the sounds of patients bbeking nonsense. Has my cheese sllid off its cracker
I don't wake up to it, but sometimes while I'm awake, but not at work, I imagine I'm hearing a call bell or cardiac monitor alarm. Sometimes I also smell phantom odors from work.

oh honey, you are not crazy at alll....... I pass pills all night in my dreams! I asked people at my work (ltc facility) and they say they do the same darn thing!

Oh gosh, I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one who's ears are playing tricks on me! I am not really waking up because of the "noises" but many times I have "heard" IV occlusion alarms, cardiac monitors/pulse ox's.... one time at home on a perfectly normal day I even picked up the phone at my home and said, "(Insert nsg unit name here), this is Christa, how can I help you?" Hahaha, I guess it is hard to leave work at work sometimes!

I hate when that sort of thing happens! I wake up feeling like I never left work.

I've turned off my shower before because I swore I heard an IV pump beeping.

I was drifting off the other night and thought I heard a body alarm..*sigh*

I've woken up to the phone ringing/alarm clock and thinking to myself- will someone get that f-ing call bell, it's waking me up!!!!

I had to throw out one alarm clock that sounded too much like a bed alarm going off. I wanted to wake up, but not jump up and fall out of bed myself!
