Online NP programs.Rating: (votes: 5) They're out there. I imagine most, if not all of them, require you to go to the campus at some point though. You'll also have clinicals to do in person. At UAMS you can do the FNP entirely online with orientations at the beginning of the semester, or that's what a recent program graduate told me. Comment:
University of Cincinnati has a well-reputed online NP program, so long as you arrange your local clinicals

i am an employed rn, so i already work in a hospital setting. what about the cost of these programs you're referring to. are they rolling enrollment? accredited?

University of Phoenix does not have an online NP program...campus only. Gonzaga does have an on-line but I think you have to make some campus visits. I'm trying to figure out online studies, too. Good luck!

Quote from patchoulii am looking for information on online nursing masters programs that have emphasis on np rather than administration, education, or informatics. i really want one that has rolling enrollment, is accredited, and affordable. perferably pay as you go option. can someone please point me in the right direction, with maybe a run down on the cost, and any other information you may have. i cannot find any cost information thru these programs on the internet. phoenix is one i believe, but they don't list the cost, and i imagine they are probably one of the more expensive ones. i was interested in walden, but i found out they do not offer np programs, so i've been looking for another school. any help is appreciated, thanks!

Purdue university in calumet has an online FNP masters. I don't believe they have rolling enrollment. They are accredited. That's where I plan to go when I am to that point. Good luck.

I will be attending UAB this Spring. UAB has the #11 program in the country for FNP. It is an online program, but you do have to go to Birmingham every once in a while (I think it may be once a semester for a couple of days...not sure yet...still need to talk to my advisor). You set up your own clinicals where you live. I've included a link below in regards to tuition. Tuition for online programs are INSTATE tuition + $200 online fee per class, which makes it very affordable.UAB Detailed Tuition and Fees Charges
