Jobless RNRating: (votes: 0) Go to the employment office on the base?See if there are jobs available at the base clinic/hospital?I'm sorry its so frustrating for you right now. Maybe try another LTC job? Good luck. Comment:
If you are a BSN-RN, you could also consider joining the Armed Forces. That may not guarantee an assignment with your spouse but often you can engineer that. If your spouse is enlisted, this becomes a bit trickier though.Just a thought.

there is so. Just keep trying!

Have you tried usajobs.gov?Here's a posting for Bremerton and it talks about military spouse preference in hiring in the ad:USAJOBS - Search JobsAlso, there are sometimes MWR jobs for RNs- usually roles that are similar to public health nursing in the civilian world.

That's a good site to check. In my area there is one full time RN position open in the VA Nursing Home unit on PM's. Pay: $51,541.00 - $91,435.00 /yearApplications accepted through Dec. 24. Just waiting for my license renewal to get cleared. Not my clinical area of choice, but for $90k working for the US Govt? I can learn to like it.

Bremerton is one of the hospitals we 'new' Navy nurses can go to (note i'm in the NCP) - consider applying for the Nurse Corps (if that's your thing).

Do you have enough income to work pro-bono? If so, perhaps you can intern here and there...
Comment:
I'm thinking LTC.

Try outpatient hemodialysis....They hired me without experience at all. However the economy at the time wasn't quite the same when I started. If anybody wonders why only 4 months experience only your spouse being transferred due to the military is a valid answer!
