I wouldn't tell the NICU that you are looking at other places, too. It could work against you. They probably assume you are looking at other places since most people apply for multiple positions when looking for a job. Like the previous poster said, continue to follow up every 2 weeks or so to show you are still interested.

It isn't critical care, but PACU is the most difficult position to get around here. It is strictly 7-4 Mon-Fri. Never w/e, holidays or nights, no call. Emergent after hours procedures are recovered by the CRNA (unless he or she can justify dumping them in the unit, lol). It might make getting into a unit easier if they know you have some experience taking care of pts who are hemodynamically unstable, intubated, alines, mx gtts, etc.
