Not sure how to be a leader to CNA's

I recently graduated nursing school to be an LPN. Before becoming an LPN I was a CNA. In my job that I have now, I have to supervise the aides that are going to be on my hall. I am not really sure how to do this. With the fact that I used to be an aide myself I know how most of them think and that is that nurses just sit at the desk and do nothing. I need some advice on how to help them as much as I can yet still get my job done on time. I also need advice on how to ask them to change people, lay somone down etc...
